Currently all materials on the Lower Level are inaccessible due to health and safety concerns. This includes microfiche, microfilm, the physical Government Documents collection and some print journals and magazines. Access will be restored once repairs have been made to the Lower Level and the condition of each collection has been properly evaluated.
The vast majority of these government documents are digitally accessible and our Librarians are happy to help find the needed resources. Additionally, there are also FDLP collections at the Mabee Legal Center and the Tulsa City-County Library. A complete list can be found at https://ask.gpo.gov/s/fdldsearch?type=state&state=Oklahoma.
This library is a Congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law. (Title 44 United States Code)
Government Documents are a rich source of both current and historical information from all levels of government. Depository libraries and the Internet provide significant access to the resources. The library staff at this and other depository libraries can provide an understanding of how the resources are organized.
The Government Documents collection is located on the Lower Level of McFarlin Library
