Access to the Collections

Any person, whether affiliated with The University or not, must make written application to the Head of Special Collections for permission to examine Special Collections and University Archives materials through various forms. Patrons must present a completed Book Request form for each item to examine items found in the Bibliographic Catalog. For manuscript items, patrons must present a completed Reader’s Registration Form. Photo ID must also be presented at the time of access; for TU faculty, students or staff, this must be their TU ID.

Permission to access materials is granted at the discretion of the Director of Special Collections, or, when appropriate, Special Collections staff. Failure to sign the forms or to present a photo ID will result in the application for access being denied.

Please note: Some materials are located in offsite storage facility and require special arrangements for use. Location information is listed on the Archival Catalog records.
