Get Articles without Leaving Home

Can I access the Library databases from home?

Yes, current students, faculty, and staff of The University of Tulsa have full access to all the library’s online products when not on the TU campus. McFarlin uses a proxy server. Using it, you will be able to search all of the databases to which the library subscribes using any Internet Service Provider.

  • In order for the proxy server to function correctly, you must go through the library’s website or catalog. Bookmarking a database or e-journal in your browser may not work.

What about the electronic journals? Can I use them from home?

Yes, but you will need to get to them through the library catalog, the journal list, or one of the library's databases.

  • The library's e-journal collection is available off-campus only to current students, faculty, and staff of The University of Tulsa.

If you would like to download the Global Protect Proxy provided by TU, please use this LINK and follow the instructions.
