ProQuest Ebook Central is the primary provider of scholarly/academic ebooks for McFarlin Library. The Ebook Central Reader App is the software you must use if you want to download and read ebooks from ProQuest Ebook Central offline. The app is free and easily available. If you are installing it on your personal device you may download it directly from ProQuest. If you are installing it on a university-owned device, you need to download the app from Utulsa's Microsoft Company Portal.
Once you have installed the software on your device, you must register it with ProQuest. Instructions for doing so are below.
After registering the app you will be able to download and read ProQuest ebooks.

Using any browser, go to ProQuest Ebook Central.

In the upper right corner, click on Profile.

This will display your profile page. Click on Manage | Get Code

This will take you to a screen with a button labeled Get Login Code. Click on it.

This will bring up a box with your registration code. Click on Copy next to the code to copy it to your clipboard.

Next, go into your Ebook Central Reader App. If you haven't already registered the software, it will display a screen that prompts you to enter the registration code you just copied from Ebook Central.

Paste that code into the boxes and click Submit.

Your app is now fully registered with ProQuest and you are ready to download an ebook.
