Does McFarlin Library accept material donations?

Yes. McFarlin library appreciates gifts for the general collection to enhance the collection and support the academic programs of the university. 

 

What kinds of materials does McFarlin Library accept?

McFarlin library primarily accepts books. Books should be in good condition and fall within the scope of academic programs offered at the university. We are particularly interested in books authored by TU faculty or books published in the last 10 years. 

 

Does the library accept journals, magazines or multimedia (DVDs etc.)?

No. The library cannot accept journals, magazines, newspapers or multimedia. If you believe your journal, magazine or newspaper is rare or of particular value, please contact Jaymi Bouziden at jaymi-bouziden@utulsa.edu

 

Can I donate materials to Special Collections?

The Special Collections gift policy is available on their website and provides specific information for Special Collections donations. 

 

How do I donate materials?

Before donating materials, please complete the donation form: McFarlin Library Deed of Gift form.

Once you have completed the form, please print out the confirmation email you receive and include with your materials when you drop them off. Donations can be dropped off at the circulation desk during the library's open hours.

How can I tell the value of my donation?

The library is unable to provide appraisal values for donations. Donors are required to determine a value for tax purposes independently.
